Masters National Track Championships

Points Race
Julie is the Women's 40-44 National Points Race Champion. She rode an amazing race, rode it smart, and kicked in her killer sprint with ease.

She had a 4-point lead going into the final sprint, needing no less than a third place finish to clinch the race... in true winner fashion, Julie took it out of turn turn and drop everybody to come across the line with a convincing win!!!

Congrats Julie - you were awesome tonight!

500 Meters Race
Well SJBC/SugarCRM... the ladies represented today! The track was fast and so were Julie and I. We both did a personal best today for 2nd and 4th place.

I am totally stoked for both of us. This is the first time Julie has broken 41 seconds with a 40.5, and the first time I have broken 40 seconds with a 39.6. I was one of only two women today to go under 40 seconds and Julie was one of a handful that broke 41 seconds. And just think, Julie and I are doing the Team Sprint on Sunday together - I can't wait!

We are throwing down the gauntlet to the men ... your turn now.

I'll be doing the 2k tomorrow night in order to be competitive in the Best All Around Rider competion. It is not my favorite event (4 laps too long for me), but I am hoping to post a top four finish and maybe even squeak onto the podium. ~ Annabell Holland

Junior State Track Championships

Daniel Farinha, Eddie Zhang & Christina Yglesias all became Jr State Track Champions. The San Jose Bicycle Club extend our Congratulations to each.

The Junior Program is the fine work of Andrew Lanier and Joe Farinha, both have put in countless hours at the track for our Junior Race Team.
