8 MILE PROLOGUE (ITT)

Time: Riders start at 1 minute intervals.
Distance: 7.5 miles
No handicap given in time trial.

Top 30-40% of scratch times will ride in the A group; remaining times in the B group.

ITT location: Start at Canada and Edgewood road, just north of the town of Woodside. To get there follow Highway 280 north out of San Jose for approximately 10 miles to the Edgewood Road exit. At the exit turn left and follow Edgewood Road to the bottom of the
hill and park.

CRITERIUM

C Group
Registration opens: 2:00pm
Registration closes at 2:30pm
Race Start: 3:00pm
Distance: 10 miles (14 laps)

B Group
Registration opens: 3:45pm
Registration closes at 4:15pm
Race Start: 4:30pm
Distance: 20 miles (16 laps)

A Group
Registration opens: 5:15pm
Registration closes: 5:45pm
Race Start: 6:00pm
Distance: 25 miles (20 laps)

Criterium Location: Corner of Patrick Henry Dr and Democracy Way. The course is formed by all right turns from this intersection. (Directions: From Hwy 101, exit North on Great America Pkwy, turn left onto Patrick Henry.)

VUELTA RULES
Helmets are Mandatory.

Important:  You must complete the Time Trial to participate in the Crit. You must complete the Crit, to participate in the Road Ride. If you show up for either the Crit or RR and do not qualify to continue, you will be asked to refrain from riding.

Triathlete bars and clip-ons will ONLY be allowed in the time trial.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST OBEY THE CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE AT ALL TIMES. Centerline rule will be strictly enforced at the crit and tour. All riders will be issued numbers prior to the criterium. Numbers will not be necessary at the TT.

TOUR DE LAGOS (Tour of the Lakes)

Distance:
A group will complete three laps (50 miles).
B group will complete two laps (33 miles).
C group will complete one lap (16 miles).

Start location: Uvas road at the top of Uvas dam, west of Morgan Hill.

To get there from San Jose, follow highway 101 south to the Blossom Hill Ave. exit. As you take the exit, stay RIGHT and follow the road to Monterey road. DO NOT go over the overpass at Blossom hill. Follow Monterey road south for 5 miles to Bailey road and turn right. Follow Bailey to the end at the T intersection where it meets McKean road. Turn left onto McKean and follow it south (at some point McKean will change names to Uvas road ) for approx 10 miles to the Uvas parking lot about half mile north of Uvas dam.

REGISTRATION & FEES
Registration cut-off will be strictly enforced. Do not be late. Being in line at reg close does not qualify. There will be no pre-reg.

Rides are only open to club members. Ride fees are $5 for each event or $15 for all three. New members are welcome for the standard $40 annual membership fee + individual event fees. Everyone must sign membership form and Release Form for the rides. (One release for the entire weekend is ok). What about Juniors... well, as with all club rides, there is no charge, membership fee or ride fee.

NOTE FOR JUNIOR RIDERS: If a junior rider has not previously filled out a club membership and release form then he must do so before the ride with a parents signature.
